Sure. What else would you rather your kid be doing? Knitting while watching a Lifetime movie at home? It's just not realistic. I did encourage her to babysit, and often she'd go out on Friday nights, babysit Saturday nights and then go sleep over at a friend's house. 
When DD was in high school and going to parties on both nights with her best friend, I'd coordinate with the best friend's parents. One of us did the late night pick up on Friday night and the other did it Saturday night. [/quote]
