Are they really poor? Are you?
They are driving BMW so don't think ithey are too poor. But not sure. We were just neighbors for less than a month. They are just new immigrants who think they can abuse the system and get away. But it seems that they are getting away if nobody reports it.
The county might catch up with them, if someone notices where the mail goes. The best bet is to call/write the school and report it. Where it gets ugly, though, is when people move out of the county and do this...then they can be prosecuted for fraud/theft of services. (at minimum, they would owe tuition). It is possible that they did request and receive pupil placement. We ended up in a situation where a house fire made our place uninhabitable for a while. We talked to the school, and even though the school was over crowded, and closed, DD was able to stay in the school (insurance co found us temporary housing but not in our pyramid). But, we owned the property, and had every intention of moving back once the damage was repaired, which took about 3 months.
