Help me decide because I'm on the fence. We returned from an international trip on the 4th of July weekend, then went down to Richmond last weekend, and are deciding what to do this weekend. (DH, 20 month old DD, and me). That would be 4 weekends in a row away from the house. We both work full time so we are behind in a lot of the general house maintenance like cleaning and yard work. 1. Someone has to go down because DH's brother flies out of DCA and we committed to driving him to the airport. (Family is visiting from way out of town, hence the many trips down. This means 6 kids and 8 adults in the same house for the weekend, if I include the 3 of us). 2. We have 2 dogs that we can't bring with us to MIL's house, where we would stay. Last weekend, she paid to have them boarded, about $250. Option 1: All 3 of us go down. We leave the dogs at SIL's house about 10 min from MIL's house and drop by to walk/feed them twice while in Richmond. She has a fenced yard and dog door, so they would be alone but not in crates. Option 2: I stay at home with the dogs while DH takes DD down to family. If I do this, MIL will probably be upset, and both SIL's as well I think. They would probably assume I don't want to see them. Not true. So... what should I do?
