Okay, that's a pretty big range but the point is that he is poor. I don't understand why he doesn't run for President. He would win, he is folksy, likeable, and once he brings out his net worth trump card it is all over for everyone else.
I'm not sure of your logic here. I wouldn't vote for Joe. I find him repulsive, and his smirking manner at the debate with Ryan last election cycle means I don't think he'd represent this country well internationally. Having a net worth <$800,000 doesn't counter that and I'm not sure even the implication? He's been unable to save while making $250K (with a working wife) over the last 8 years and getting free lodging and most other things? Doesn't sound like a + column point. Finally, you may remember most recent presidents and vice-presidents have left the office relatively humble. It's not until they get out, and into the cycle of making money speaking after they leave the office their net worth significantly jumps. Hillary is apparently commanding $275K for a speaking opportunity. Recently a college thought that was too high, so they brought in Chelsea for $65K (what exactly Chelsea, who was never POTUS, Senator, Secretary of State offers, who knows?).
