According to this article, those with allergies to almonds and therefore nuts and peanuts (to be on the safe side) should [b]not[/b] eat Honey Nut Cheerios.

This article also notes that there is an almond allergy warning on the box for Honey Nut Cheerios. Our allergist instructed us to not eat foods with "may contain" or "may be processed with" nuts or peanuts as well as allergen warnings for nuts or peanuts. Research also supports this since apparently about 13% of the time these foods are contaminated with enough allergen to cause a reaction. Furthermore, even those with just peanut allergy alone should also avoid nuts to be on the safe side since nuts are often contaminated with peanuts.[/quote]
