All mom has to is tell her daughter that it means she looks nice at school each day. If she needs to know more, mom can say that looking nice is one form of self-respect. When a person likes herself, she makes an effort to look nice. It doesn't mean she's dumb, it doesn't mean she's shallow, it means she respects herself. [/quote]
