I asked my daughter if she wanted to when she was around six. She said no. Around ten she started getting very interested in other people's pierced ears. A few months before turning 11 she told me she was ready and I made an appointment at a tattoo parlor. Now she's 12.5 and just yesterday I mentioned to her "You haven't been wearing earrings lately, what's up with that?" She was given a lot of cutesy earrings from Grandma that she feels are babyish. I asked if she's still glad she got her ears pierced and I got a very enthusiastic yes.[/quote]
