The answer to your question is no.  Of course you would not be hired if there are people that are better qualified than you.  Why would any employer do that?

That being said, [b]you may be undervaluing your qualifications[/b].  Put the absolute best light on them that you can without crossing over into being untruthful.  It is always worth a shot, if only because you get more experience with the application/selection process under your belt.[/quote]

I may just be doing that. It's not a stretch that I'm well qualified, but I'm definitely not highly qualified. I may beef up my resume and KSA's to really nail down what the job is looking for in comparison to my current duties.
