We were also immigrants with no family help. I learned to make my own costumes, make sure myself that pictures were ready for the slideshow, and if I didn't own a purple shirt and my parents didn't have time to take me to get one (which was often), I learned to deal. It was a great education and I'm better for it.[/quote]
