Also avoid hinting upfront that you are slim and pale-skinned and that is why she is jealous of you. Do you understand how these add-ons to your post attract snarky comments?

In short, know your audience. It's important professionally as well. You don't want to appear paranoid and unbalanced when complaining to your boss. Perhaps you have already done so, in a less than objective way, and that is why your boss declines to interfere?
