[/quote] +1 The real problem isn't not having an income but that it's harder to get a job if you are unemployed. And it gets worse the longer you are unemployed. Maybe you are setting the bar too high for your job search. If you are miserable enough to quit without a job lined up, then that means that you need to expand your job search. Have you tried any staffing agencies or recruiters? It is far better to accept a job that isn't necessarily exciting than to quit without having a job. If I were you, I would stay at the job, expand my job search, and try to find at least something (even if I only planned to stay there a year). It's still better than being unemployed for a year.
