It's Better to offer above normal range in hopes that this person won't seek out other opportunities and leave you scrambling for a new temp every month. I missed that your leave isn't until October. I would definitely bring up a raise. Especially considering your boss has basically said 2 people are needed to do your job so you are likely more than qualified to receive a raise. [/quote]
