There's this woman that bothers me and apparently a lot of other people at my gym (based on the conversation some other people were having as I left today). She shows up to every group fitness class at least 15 minutes late, weekday, weekend, doesn't matter. The classes are usually conditioning/weightlifting classes that require a lot of equipment and set-up. She arrives late and asks people to move so she can have one of her favorite spots, she does nothing to minimize the class disruption of getting her equipment (instead I am convinced that it's deliberate--she seems like she wants to be noticed), she then adjusts the room fans to her temperature (she always wants to turn the fans down when she's just arrived nevermind other people who are already hot since class started 15 minutes ago). After all of this, she only sort of does the class (she's older and does what pleases her) and then she leaves early. I have no idea why she comes. She is clearly not serious about exercise (there are classes at my gym for older people) and she doesn't even wear proper footwear (sandals half the time). I don't get it. Why would someone be so disruptive on purpose for no reason? Anyone else? (And before anyone takes this as a rant about older people at the gym, it's not. I'm not particularly young and there are plenty of very fit older people in my classes.)
