One of the suspects was "Well known by the FBI" and under investigation for terrorism. Name is Elton Simpson. I don't know what "kind" of terrorism, just skimming the news reports this morning, but sounds like an off-kilter guy looking for a reason to create havoc.

I also am on the fence about if it makes me more comfortable with the level of concealed carry/guns there are in this area. I'm not a TX native, by the way, and in many ways not the "Texas stereotype" - although we really love living here. I think ultimately, I am more comfortable knowing that it's likely people around me are armed if a situation like this arises. I know in reality that actually probably makes the situation more dangerous, more likely to get accidentally shot, but something about knowing not only the bad guys have guns just sits right with me. FWIW, I do not carry. [/quote]
