FWIW I don't mind crowds or festival or ampitheater (lawn )seating so I actually LOVE Wolftrap because you can bring in absolutely anything- nothing like being able to have your favorite finger food and favorite bottle of wine while listening. I've been at the bottom of the lawn and also in the "upper deck" lawn. You can hear pretty well throughout although it is easier to chat in the upper lawn so there is plenty of that.

The lines to get in are super winding and long but they are actually very efficient about getting you in once they open the gates.
