This is my fear for our school's program (FCPS). There are a number of military families that participate, and then inevitably move out of the area (and school) within --2 years. This opens a ton of spots that can not be filled. Grr.
I wouldn't blame the military families. I blame the AAP parents who pull their kids out for AAP magnet schools after second grade. (boos to my schools PTA president who did this) My youngest son's class started at nearly 28! I was OK with that. We were in the german school, and the german teacher was very organized!! I went to catholic school with 35 kids and no aids. I know my oldest DC ended the program with only 32ish kids down from a start of 50ish (two classes with 25 each)
