If you are a Maryland resident and have out of state taxable income (this includes VA if 1099 and not W2), then you must file a paper copy of your other state return to claim the credit. And turbotax does not properly print the relevant MD form.[/quote]

Hopefully you are not doing this as a MD resident.  From the instructions for MD form 502CR (http://forms.marylandtaxes.com/14_forms/502CR.pdf)

I'm not sure how one electronically files the copy of the out-of-state return with the Comptroller of MD.  TurboTax will not do it.  Perhaps another package does.
