WVU takes some kids who have no business going to college, and they flunk out pretty quickly. It's just the downside of being the flagship university in a poor, uneducated state; you can't really have super high admission standards. If you're a decent student who belongs in college you should have no real issues graduating assuming you put in some effort. I went to WVU undergrad and to a top 20 program for grad school and was amazed at how easy it was for the kids to graduate at the better school. Admittedly they were generally strong students, but even the few that weren't were on pace to graduate. It does have a heavy party atmosphere, so you would need to make sure that a student going there could resist the temptation.[/quote]
