Yes, the principal didn't ooze warmth toward the kids, and there was a big emphasis on the latest awards won by the same group of TJ-bound kids, but the front office was friendly, the school was well-run, and we always had the sense that the administrators knew what the teachers were doing and how students should be progressing academically.
