Per the newly effective guidelines, " a student whose place of residence within the District of Columbia changes from one school zone to a different school zone will be permitted to stay in an in-boundary DCPS school through the end of the school year. The student must obtain a seat through the out-of-boundary lottery" If you got in based on IB preference then you are at he whim of the lottery if you move OOB. That doesn't mean that principals won't act contrary to the new policy, but it's worth noting that this is a change. [/quote]
