Unfortunately, the ortho was dismissive and appeared to think it was all in DC's head. After several repeat visits, we got a second ortho opinion and he referred DC to a rheumatologist, who diagnosed autoimmune spinal arthritis. A good ortho should know when to refer to a rheumatologist. [/quote]
