I'm "ama" at 42. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past 8 months. So, I apparently don't have too much of an issue getting pregnant...holding onto the pregnancy seems to be key. No idea why I miscarried either time (10 weeks and 6 weeks, respectively), though my ob/gyn's and RE's best guess is that it is chromosomal / egg quality due to age. Anyway. I ovulate all over the place. Anywhere between CD9 and CD17. The RE, however, doesn't seem terribly concerned with this information but I wonder what you all think... I went in last Sunday (CD3) for baseline testing (follicle count, estradiol, fsh). Follicles = 8 and "larger" than they'd expect so early in a cycle; not "mature" but definitely "large".Estradiol was 126 and suppressing FSH. I don't know FSH. Because of the elevated estradiol, they canceled the clomid challenge and we will attempt everything again next cycle. Any thoughts on whether early ovulation and these "large" follicles + elevated estradiol are things that indicate problems being able to go forward w/IVF? Or would you expect that things could change month to month? (Which, again, concerns me as I have limited funds to pursue IVF.)
