Apparently Kyle's military colleagues think prison rape is a funny subject.  How charming.  Sadly I guess I understand a bit better now how atrocities like Abu Ghraib happened and why suicide and family homicide amongst returning vets is so high.  While I can appreciate how traumatic service in the Middle East has been for the past decade plus, I find this kind of thinking frightening and decidedly not heroic.  Not to mention ironic...this mob can't see how their zeal for vengeance mirrors whatever inner darkness led Routh to do what he did.  Violence begets violence, I guess - and the VA will carry on ignoring the desperately huge need for mental health services.  [/quote]

I agree but it's not just military folks who believe in that kind of vigilante justice. Look at old threads on DCUM; you'll see lots of people who hope that so-and-so gets raped or "what he deserves."[/quote]
