It was a pretty good movie, but why is everyone acting like Chris Kyle was some sort of saint? He was obviously very good at his job, and I appreciate his service. But the man claimed to beat several people for no reason. He also claimed to kill 2 men for trying to steal his truck. Even though all of this happened in public, there don't seem to be any witnesses to verify his stories. He also claimed that he and other snipers shot dozens of US citizens during Katrina. Yet...anyone who criticizes the movie is unpatriotic. I don't understand.
Is all that in the movie/ Book?
Op here. It's in his autobiography and interviews. He was quite proud of these stories. Yet, the movie didn't address them. It barely touched on his PTSD, and made it seem very easily cured or managed. This is not helpful to vets who suffer daily from PTSD.
