Very different schools.... SJC - very very diverse both ses & race, coed (DD goes there and this could be a big distraction), great sports, scholars program is excellent, teachers are ok, some not so much, very rigid sort of military (not relax) environment, 1 second late to class and you have a detention, great location, easy access to friendship hghts and bethesda. SR- DD shadowed there and loved it, but then she wanted coed. Not very diverse. One of the few schools you don't here a whole lot of negative about. Great arts program. Do a search on here, lot has been written before... HC- search again....
Can you clarify? DD goes to a grade school where a good chunk of the graduating class goes here. It's on her list. What's wrong with it?
Aside from being far to small for my DD, we were very disappointed with the academics. Seemed great for the girls who needed extra support or those looking to ease the workload/rigor of HS. That has proven true for nearly all of the girls we know there.
