Any thoughts on where I can buy last minute mince pies? Thanks
I learned to make them. You can buy large jars of Robertsons Fruit Mince imported from England at Harris Teeters and Wegmans ($5-6). There's also a Crosse & Blackwell brand. I use muffin pans. I use a biscuit pastry as a base. Google to find a recipe, and don't worry if it says castor sugar - I use ordinary sugar with no problems. I cut the bottom part out using a drinking glass for the circle, put in a dessert spoon of fruit mince and cut out a pastry star using a cookie cutter for the top. Bragging a bit, I think they taste better than the bought ones.
