We are putting in a new master bathroom ourselves and I picked out all the fixtures and colors and nothing is working....I am not a millionaire and I am really bummed out that we are spending $ and it is not coming out right at all...Can we fix it? I had my heart set on a nice new bathroom and it all just looks wrong. I picked out the Lowe's Ketterton 60 inch cream colored vanity...It is beautiful and I love it...However, we don't have a sink top yet and I was planning to get a custom made Corian top with a single bowl BUT now that we put the vanity in place, we realize it can only accommodate a double sink..which I never wanted (I hate double sinks; they are useless; I checked with the store ahead of time and was told this cabinet could fit either a single or a double). My question is: Would it look goofy if I just put a single bowl sink on the left side and left the right side a countertop??? Also, our tile is not right. I picked out gray tile with white grout...Along with the stark white toilet, the white grout lines and toilet look terrible against the cream colored vanity...It is as if the white just glows in the bathroom and it doesn't really go together....the tile is too casual and the vanity is very rich looking...so two different styles... I was going to go with a sage colored sink top and bathtub surround (Corian Cilantro - a light sagey gray/green) but I am started to think the sage will make the mismatched colors even worse...My husband says maybe we need to go with a gray sink top...but I hate gray. What would you do? My husband spent hours tiling..Should I rip it all up...The tile was not expensive but it just doesn't go well. We painted the walls a cream which I think was a mistake (too close to color of vanity)...We are doing a big drop in soaking tub with a surround and I was going to match the sink top with bathtub surround...but I can do something else. No wonder people who can afford to do so hire interior decorators...
