OP here. Didn't the funfetti cake and frosting used to have rainbow chips though? They were shaped like mini chocolate chips, but they were rainbow colored, and delicious colorful sugary conical shaped chips. I hate sprinkles. I've never liked sprinkles, so something definitely changed :([/quote]

You are thinking of Rainbow Chip, not funfetti (or if it was funfetti, I bet it's been twenty years since they called it that). At any rate, I think it's largely discontinued. My local Safeway used to carry it, but it is gone, gone, gone. I share your pain. On the upside, think of how many fewer trans fats you'll eat![/quote]

OP again. I think you're right.

I found the rainbow chip cake mix at a different grocery store, but no luck on the frosting. Meanwhile, there were like 7 different varieties of "funfetti" with sprinkles. The one with the rainbow chips in it reigns supreme. And apparently, not on the shelves anymore... :(
