We clean up the poop and the kids play in the yard. WHY, does either the dog do a fresh poop or we miss a poop and the kids (who are to little to look out for it) step in poop EVERY TIME?! Is it just me? Why does everyone else have perfect pet and kid lives?
Here's a "perfect" kid/pet story for ya: We have a ten year old English Bulldog that was dh's "baby" before he had actual babies. I am literally waiting with baited breath for the thing to die. After being spoiled for years, he cannot be away from us ever. We can't put him outside, he will bark non-stop for hours. He humps EVERYTHING. He has no tail so unless you wipe his butt after he poos he will lay against a wall and streak a big line of poo against it. He picks fights with our other dog and then loses, so they must be kept separate 24/7. Bulldogs aren't even suppose to live past 8, but he's as spunky as a puppy. At this point I think he is just carrying on to spite me. Stepping in his poop is the least of my worries. I'm too busy scraping it off the walls and furniture.
When one of my children was young he said he only liked dogs with nice tails. He was referring to his view of a relative's Dobermann's but hole. They all stated they didn't like dogs with that...not a nice view. DH wanted an English Bulldog and we discussed the breed many times. Too many issues plus vet input indicated that they are a high medical maintenance breed.
