We just started here a week ago, and I'm not feeling great about it. I would love to hear from parents of other toddlers here. Do you pick up your kid after 5:00? And if so, is your kid ever distressed because other kids got picked up before they did? And because they are in a room with two new adults who aren't the ones who took care of them during the day? Does anyone else feel like getting any kind of meaningful response from the woman who works the front desk is like pulling teeth? How long before your kid stopped having melt downs at drop off?
I'm a fellow toddler parent. My child didn't have meltdowns at drop off and then suddenly started having them for a week several months in and then stopped having them again. One of the teachers would step in and try to comfort so I could head out. Same thing happened with another classmate. Both are fine at drop off now. One of the toddler teachers has always been there during pick up for me, other than a day or two during the move. I thought they usually staggered schedules so at least one of the toddler teachers was at drop off and at least one at pick up. If you want to post a throwaway email, I'll be happy to try to answer other questions.
