I have good news to share with you regarding the 2142 Haycock Road property that I received recently from Cynthia Bailey, the Senior Assistant County Attorney and James Patteson, the Director of Department of Public Works and Environmental Services.  Ms. Bailey and Mr. Patteson spoke at the public meeting my office held in March of this year.
 
The property has a new owner, the John P. Sekas Trust. All outstanding County liens on the property have been paid in full, including the $41,000 for the cost of the County’s partial demolition of the house.  The new owner is in the process of obtaining building permits for a complete demolition of the existing foundation and has plans to construct a single-family home on the parcel.  The County has worked with John Sekas; he is a reputable builder and produces quality homes.
 
It seems as if the impasse on this property is over and that things are underway to fully restore it.
 
I want to thank you once again for the patience you have exhibited throughout the long process.
