Again, please keep this nice To me, Muslims seem to mix religion with politics, national identity and culture. Judaism is too us and them which leads to discrimination against "others". Christianity seems to be able to fix anything later in heaven, which to me is an easy way out. Hinduism has that caste system. Ahem.
Christianity also mixes religion with politics. Mixing any religion with politics concerns me.
Jesus argued for a separation of church and state when he said "render unto Caesar what is due Caesar, and unto God what is due God." So while it's certainly true that some Christians mix these things despite Jesus' own words on the subject, it's not accurate to say that "Christianity" itself mixes religion and politics.
That verse had nothing to do with separating church and state. It was about taxes vs tithing.
Well, yes. The first (taxes) goes to the state, and the second (tithing) goes to the church. But if that distinction doesn't convince you, there's also what Jesus tells Pilate: "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But now (or 'as it is') my kingdom is not from the world."
