Meadowlark Music- www.meadowlarkmusiclessons.com Guitar, Parachute, Instruments, Scarves, Singing, Dancing, Laughing, and all types of experiencing music with your little one! Taught by a Professional Music Educator and Mom. Unique. Affordable. Educational. Creative. Fun. Dates have been posted for our upcoming music classes for babies and toddlers. Classes are available in Friendship Heights, Chevy Chase Village, Cleveland Park Club, Capitol Hill, and Singalongs on Fridays in Tenleytown (at Lil Omm). Mondays 330pm and 430pm in Capitol Hill (222 8th St NE) Tuesdays 930am at Chevy Chase Village, 1045 at Friendship Heights (home studio) Wednesdays 930am and 1030am at the Cleveland Park Club and 4pm (2-3 year olds) at Friendship Heights (home studio) Thursdays 930am, 1030am at Friendship Heights (home studio) and 1130am Babies only (0-14 months approx) at Friendship Heights (home studio) Fridays 4pm at Lil Omm- Singalong Socials (a little different than classes, more people and more about enjoying music and community together) Saturdays 1030am at Friendship Heights (home studio) The classes include an original CD so you can take the fun of music classes home with you! You will also leave with lots of ideas of how to make music at home in different ways. The CDs are also wildly popular for long car rides...with my own toddler as well. The class environment is warm and friendly, what you might call seemingly 'accidentally educational' in that I take great care in planning things, but you can just relax and know what seems like 'joyful play' is in fact very good for your child's music education (and brain and speech development...bonus!), and uses various materials and elements to keep everyone interested and learning. Hope to see you there, Amber, Meadowlark Music www.meadowlarkmusiclessons.com www.meadowlarkmusiclessons.com/group-classes.html www.meadowlarkmusiclessons.com/singalong-socials.html Who am I? I was a music educator (I think since I was born as that's what I've always wanted to be), but certainly since graduating with a BM in music performance and an MA in Teaching. I am Nationally Board Certified in Music Education, and an Alum of the NC Teaching Fellows program. I taught in public schools, chorus and band in middle school for 4 years, and then moved to DC and taught preschool music for 2 years. During all of that, I've always taught private lessons and performed in some capacity. After moving to DC, I did a lot more performing as a singer-songwriter (even at the 930 Club!), locally around DC-MD-VA and NC and on tour around the US. Now I have a toddler of my own. I love music. I love education. And I love people. I've found a fantastic place teaching these classes and have been honored to serve the Mommies, Daddies and Caregivers of this area for over a year now. Cheers to memorable musical experiences right from the beginning!
