However, I think people were more sympathetic to the cops (and I do understand this) because they appeared to follow the right steps and when a gun was pointed at them, they couldn't tell it was fake and reacted by shooting him. Terribly tragic but I also remember people not having much sympathy for the teen since he wasn't totally innocent in the whole misunderstanding. Vs say being harassed by cops and the situation getting out of control. [/quote]
