Glyphosate will kill you as fast as the pesticides. Glyphosate is what you are consuming when you eat genetically modified produce, which is non-organic.
Glyphosate is Roundup which is a pesticide. It is heavily used to kill weeds in residential areas and it is also used on GMOs that are Roundup resistant. These are usually grains and not vegetable/fruit crops. Roundup is in the water system due to the large use in residential areas (don't want those weeks messing up our expensive neighborhoods) and due to farming so I would be more worried about your water than the GMOs. "The EPA considers glyphosate to be noncarcinogenic and relatively low in dermal and oral acute toxicity. The EPA considered a "worst case" dietary risk model of an individual eating a lifetime of food derived entirely from glyphosate-sprayed fields with residues at their maximum levels. This model indicated that no adverse health effects would be expected under such conditions." Just because you are eating a GMO does not mean you are eating a pesticide. Many GMOs do not have the Roundup Ready gene cloned into them. Some GMOs like tomatoes may have a gene that allows them to stay ripe longer without rotting thus reducing waste. I also hate to burst your little organic is better bubble but "What makes organic farming different, then? It’s not the use of pesticides, it’s the origin of the pesticides used. Organic pesticides are those that are derived from natural sources and processed lightly if at all before use. This is different than the current pesticides used by conventional agriculture, which are generally synthetic." Organic is definitely not what everyone thinks it is. I wouldn't waste the money, instead wash your fruits and veggies well and don't stress about it. The stress will kill you before any pesticide used in farming will.
