This does not justify the actions....but when people accuse Israel of intentionally killing children, the Israeli's look at it as survival.

But Israel also wants to continue to settle the West Bank, and that is for a more practical reason: politicians want to win elections, and the religious right is the swing vote.  Those aggressive actions have zero to do with fear of annihilation.  And they have a lot to do with the current conflict.[/quote]
