The kids often meet other days as well on an informal basis.  The two activity days consist of both free play (with creative props and materials, in a large indoor space or outdoors) and planned activities and projects.

We are in the process of hiring an experienced facilitator to start in the fall, and each family participates in the school on a cooperative basis.  Parent participation has helped keep costs affordable. 
 
Our philosophy centers on facilitating children’s self-directed learning by providing safe, engaging learning environments where children learn at their own pace and according to their own interests. We are striving for a diverse student body and a multicultural curriculum and are dedicated to building a global consciousness as a part of our everyday activities. 
 
Free play, arts, and science projects serve as vehicles for the children to learn how to understand themselves and the world; think critically and independently; make good decisions; cooperate with others; and develop valuable character traits such as perseverance and confidence. 
 
Participating families have been meeting informally throughout the summer for those interested in meeting the group.
