BACKGROUND:  Administered annually to District students in grades 3 through 8 and grade 10, DC CAS exams are designed to measure student proficiency, performance and growth based on state content standards. Students were tested in math, reading, science and composition in 2014. Results are statewide and represent both DCPS and PCS.[/quote]
