I could do without the early morning kitty wake up call. It starts at 5:30 am. My two little furry vultures perch and stare until I open one sleepy eye. If I try to pretend I'm still sleeping, because, really, 5:30am is oh-too-damn-early, they up their game. They come creeping up and sniffing my face and ears with their tickling whiskers. If I STILL don't get up to feed them, I get the conversation. Meows. Mrows. Grumble mews.

I have not slept past 5:30am in three years.

That said, after they are fed, and after I take the dog for a walk and make myself a cup of coffee and watch the morning news...they both creep on up for some purry lap time and I almost forget how irritating they can be.

In short, I love my crazy, early morning girls. Can't imagine what I'd do without them.
