I have an AA friend who daughter graduated from Wootton a couple years ago.  She did not have a good HS experience!  Send your kid to WJ or BCC, now if they're a star athlete that may make a difference.  [b]Closer to DC [/b]the better the experience for AA kids....

She was always excluded.  HS is where you're supposed to make life long friends and have great memories, not college, not work, etc....education was good though.[/quote]
Are you sure it was race related? Did she go to Wootton zoned HS?
I just had long conversation with DS who had rough first year in Wootton after we moved to Rockville.
His explanation - W is big and VERY cliquish, not racially though. He spent almost a year trying to find a group of friends with similar interests.[/quote]
