The vast majority of people in history have not reacted to change in this way. The history of America is built on people who came here after they "had everything taken away from them" and decided to start over, make the most of life and what the world had to offer.

America was a land of opportunity for Europeans. People came with their families and had something to live for.  They had less in Europe to live for and more opportunities here.  They won this land by killing the native Americans. So - not the same circumstances and the rule of the gun won the west for the White man here as well. 
THis wonderful land was won by the slave labor of blacks and by snatching the land of the Native Americans.

In the middle east -  If you bomb civilians and kill the entire families, then the survivor have nothing to live for. He will kill people responsible for the destruction of his family.  Every time there is collateral damage by US or NATO forces or Israel - I shudder to think how many more terrorists who have nothing to live for have been created.

Their behavior is very excusable.  If I was the parent of the 4 kids killed in the bombing - I would do everything I could to destroy those responsible. I would have nothing else to live for but revenge.

That is the reason , you can never win against terrorists. You can win against an army - but they are not playing that game anymore, are they? So, we have no idea where they will strike. And millions of US dollars that could have have been spend on Education, Economy, Environment - is being spend on trying to fight a shadow enemy who has nothing to live for. What can we  bargain and negotiate with, when most have nothing to live for!

Besides - Holocaust was a European phenomenon, so Israel should be carved out of Germany or some place in Europe.  Maybe US can hand over some parts of Utah to the Israelis, or let all of them immigrate to the US. Why not? We are letting everyone else migrate here anyways. [/quote]
