A visible tattoo? I have one but you can not see it and I am a healthcare professional. A teacher having a visible tattoo is okay as long as it is tasteful and not gaudy and offensive. Male or female I feel the same way. Why did you ask this question OP?
OP here - my DD is in college for education and has several tattoos, none of which were visible until this latest one. It's a flower on the inside of her elbow area on her lower arm. She says it doesn't matter and if there is a problem she can always wear long sleeves. I expressed my concern but it isn't offensive and it's her body and it's already done so whatever I say doesn't matter at this point. Just curious what the general population thinks. FYI, we are a military family so my DH has several tattoos and many of our friends do as well, visible and covered. I myself don't have any and neither does my other DD. My DS has expressed wanting one but is not old enough yet.
