Medical school is also 4 years rather than 3 years, so that's an additional year of cost of living and tuition compared to law school (and there are no summer associate positions that pay 30K for 3 months). Then you need to be on a trainee's salary for residency for a few years after graduating. If you want to be a pediatrician or a general practitioner, you won't be making those crazy salaries that specialists make, and it can be hard to service 350K worth of debt on a low six figure job.[/quote]
