Tonsil removal for adults is extremely high risk and dangerous. The recovery is a FULL two weeks at best. For a doctor to remove tonsils over tonsil stones is negligent and irresponsible. I would RUN from any ENT that suggested tonsil removal for tonsil stones. Plus with the notorious rate of horrendous antibiotic resistant staph infections from surgery, that alone is enough to give someone pause before going under the knife. [/quote]
