I think the family gets the guest room. That's how it works when I visit -- I'm the only sib with kids so far, and I appreciate my single sibs taking the couch.
Not fair - kids can sleep anywhere. Adult siblings deserve beds even if they are single. The family should stay in a hotel. Plus, that way the babies and kids don't bother the adults sleeping in the house. At the very least, you should be switching off sharing the guest room. What are you going to do when your sibs have kids? Will you go stay in a hotel so that your sibs with their kids can have the guest room?
Meh, I don't view it that way. I think whoever has the youngest/the most kids gets the best accommodations. And I will gladly sleep on the couch/sleeping bags on the floor with my preschooler and elementary kids when that time comes. That's how my family rolls, but obvs. many are different.
