She attended at Sidwell in DC. The older kids work with sewing machines and create clothes- but DD attended when she was 6, 7 and 8 y/o. They worked on lots of projects and it seemed like a relaxed nurturing environment- kids work at their own pace and there are lots of adult there to help. There were two boys in DD's group during her first year but I hadn't noticed any during her subsequent years (though that doesn't mean there weren't any)

I've lost track of all of her projects over the years but here are a few: sewing stuffed animals, wonder knitting projects, she's made bags, worked with felting, dyeing fabric- the list goes on.

DD will certainly go back next year if we can fit it in- I have have nothing but wonderful things to say about the camp. She really liked learning/improving her handwork skills, she also liked not spending all day in the sweltering heat. They had lunch inside and then went out for about an hour to the playground.

I'm sure it will be the same at Bullis. I could go on and on- it's DD's favorite camp!![/quote]
