Anyone can shoot off an email. But it actually takes some thought and time to go to the store, buy a thank-you card, write a note of thanks, put a stamp on it, and take it to the mailbox. Not a recruiter, but I have been on hiring committees, and those who actually sent a mailed card always rose to the top of the heap for me.[/quote]
