All of these states have very good publics and it would be hard to pass any of these up for privates unless there was plenty of money in the bank and the private would offer some significant boost for the student's future. I think OP that it would have to be a very specific need for your student to pay all that extra money over those two schools. I am sure families in California, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Texas are having the same thoughts as you. What colleges can beat those in state rates for a solid education especially when you are full pay. It use to be that you might pay OOS rates so your student could have a change of scenery but with the prices today it would be cheaper to go instate and send your kid on a European vacation!
