I'd say we are authoritative. We are pretty easygoing and communicate openly with our kids, but they know we have high expectations of them. We are pretty hands on but try to avoid being smothering.

Do you  plan/ or did you pay for your children's college? Graduate School?
We will pay for their undergrad education through a combination of money saved and financial aid/scholarships. For grad school they will have to be on their own for the most part.

Would you encourage your children to live with you to save money after graduating college?  Would you make them pay rent?
Yes , they could live with us, but we'd expect them to contribute financially to the best of their ability.

Will you pay for your son/ daughter's wedding?
We will help, but probably cannot pay for everything.

Assuming your health holds up and you are located geographically close how involved would you like to be in your grandkid 's life?
We'd like to be close enough to see our grandchildren regularly. Ideal would be no more than two hours away.[/quote][/quote]
