There were at least 20 kids out of my class of 500 from my HS who went to UVA like I did.  Don't know if it's "easier" than TJ or Langley, it still will be hard work and SAT scores, etc.

I do know of two friends who "fell in with the wrong crowd" as their moms put it, so their parents sent them to Bishop O'Connell.  Just a warning that it is far away (1 hour bus ride) from Herndon but another option/great school, albeit $20k a year out of your pocket.
